The 2019 Vermeer BC1000XL is a powerful, towable wood chipper designed for high productivity and reliability in professional landscaping, forestry, and municipal applications. Powered by a 3.0L PSI gasoline engine delivering 89 horsepower, this unit provides ample power for heavy-duty chipping while maintaining fuel efficiency and smooth operation through its EFI system. With a 5,700 lb GVWR and spring suspension, it tows easily behind most medium-duty trucks, making it highly versatile for jobsite mobility.
This model features a 12-inch drum design with a 12” high by 17.5” wide infeed opening, capable of processing large branches and brush efficiently. The horizontal feed roller system and clutchless PTO drive enhance ease of use and reduce downtime. Its adjustable discharge chute offers a 101-inch height for precise material direction during operation. Designed for operator safety and durability, the BC1000XL includes Vermeer’s SmartFeed feed-sensing control system to automatically manage engine load and optimize throughput.
